Frances Mercanti-Anthony is a Broadway actress, who fell in love with a burly, bearded Maine man at age forty, and moved from the bustling suburbs of New Jersey to the rural coast of Maine.

Her story, Frances Floats, is like a holiday romantic comedy, but with much, much more profanity.

After moving to a land of snow, and lobsters, Frances promptly had two babies, and got very fat. Frances Floats is her story of finding happiness in her forties, and discovering that it has nothing to do with her dress size.

Stirring, electrifying soundscapes usher you through the cosmos as K Mak fuses cello, violin, synths, beats and vocals with sumptuous tailored visuals. Continually selling out in homeland Australia, she now brings her arresting show to Edinburgh.

K Mak has played across Australia, featured in the latest Supercheap auto ad, in Baz Lurhmann’s ‘Elvis’, and in Dubai fashion magazine ‘Mojeh’. K MAK is the originals project of Australian cellist Kathryn McKee.  She draws on her experience playing around Australia and the world with Kanye West, Eminem, Archie Roach, Guy Sebastian, Vera Blue, Angel Strings and Opera Queensland to weave strings, beats, synths and vocals into vivid, emotive artpop.

Not My Grandmother’s Daughter explores the relationship a young woman has with her mother through the relationship she has with her grandmother.

She interconnects the history of their hands through generations with the help of shadow and sound in this love letter through time.

After collecting her grandmother’s stories, she began to dream up a way to share her grandmother’s life and to better understand her own maternal relationship. Through the use of shadow puppetry, which has the ability to bend through space and time, life and death, she found her grandmother’s voice and her own.

Mary Kennedy, yes one of those Kennedys, third cousins twice removed; all of the tragedy, none of the money. No Irish Catholic story is complete without a mention of a good Irish funeral! Join Mary as she lays her mother to rest and through her mother’s dying, Mary learned how to live.

Mary Kennedy was the recurring character “New Fiona” on Shameless, and garnered the prestigious honor of being added to the Shameless Hall of Shame. Mary Kennedy is a headlining comic all over the country and appears regularly at Flappers Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory and Cinegrill-Roosevelt Theatre. She has also worked at the Comedy Store LA/La Jolla, Comedy Chateau, The Ice House and The Improv (Hollywood, Ontario, Irvine, Brea). When in NYC, she is a regular at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Comedy Club.
